Speaker
Organizational coach, facilitator, author and founder of the Che Amigo Foundation.
In 2004, Jasper quits his job to do what he really wants: setting up social development projects. He founded the Che Amigo foundation. Together with a board, many volunteers, donors and local people and organizations, they are committed to community development in vulnerable areas in Argentina, Bolivia, Peru and Colombia. With the program developed by Che Amigo, called Leadership in my Community, young people learn to set up projects themselves in their neighborhood. Since then, Che Amigo has set entire communities in motion.
Jasper's book "Leadership in My Community" was released at the end of 2018. In it he describes his personal development process from the moment of founding (2007) until mid-2018. He talks about the people he meets along the way in vulnerable areas of South America and what steps they take in their personal development.
In his book you travel along small-scale development projects in beautiful areas in South America. It is about poverty and joy, teachers and difficult moments, self-reflection and personal growth. Questions such as: how do you get a community moving? What do you encounter when you follow your ideals? And what can we and Dutch organizations learn from this?
In addition to founder of the Che Amigo foundation, Jasper has been active in the world of organizational change for more than twenty years. He works as an organization and leadership coach and focuses on leadership issues within a purpose-driven economy. His vision of leadership development is unique and focuses on the intrinsic ownership and personal talent of everyone. He gives inspiring workshops on discovering your WHY and questions such as: what can teams learn from communities in South America?
Jasper has been working in the Netherlands again since April 2018. He has joined Berckeley Square, a consultancy for social innovation, transformation and self-organization, and works from Che Amigo, among others, with the Movement On The Ground foundation (co-founder Johnny de Mol) on Lesbos. There he sets up a community development program for refugees who often have to stay in hopeless camps for months or even years.
