Henk-Jan Geel is known as the expedition leader of the popular Flemish television programs Expedition Groenland, Expedition Namibia and Expedition Patagonia broadcasted on Play4. With Expeditie Groenland, he won the prestigious Kastaar award for best new TV program. In his talks, he takes the audience to the limits of human endurance and nature: from polar winds and freezing nights to mental resilience and high-pressure teamwork. Henk-Jan Geel is the only Dutch IPGA-certified Polar Guide and has many years of experience leading expeditions in remote regions such as Greenland, Iceland, Norway, and Antarctica.
With his background as a former commando and his training at the Wilderness Guide Association, Henk-Jan Geel knows exactly how to guide people through extreme conditions, both physically and mentally. He combines his adventurous life with his role as founder of Arctic Adventure, an organization that takes people on well-prepared and safe wilderness expeditions.
