Ed Kronenburg is one of the Dutch all-round top diplomats. He was an ambassador in Paris and Beijing. Before that he was Secretary General at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for four years and, among others, Grandmaster of Her Majesty Queen Beatrix. He also held senior positions at the OECD in Paris, at the European Commission and at NATO in Brussels. At NATO he was director of the cabinet of Secretary-General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer. As an ancillary position, he was chairman of the National Police Supervision Management Committee from 2014 to 2018. He is now a columnist for the Financial Times, sits on the Supervisory Board of the LeidenAsiaCentre, on the Supervisory Board of Huis Doorn and is Chairman of the Ad6 Supervisory Board. He also advises various companies and agencies with regard to China and France.
